Today was the farewell address in the San Tan 1st Ward.
Chase expressed thanks to all of those who at this point in his life have influenced him. Specifically he mentioned Parents, Family, Teachers, Coaches, Church Leaders and all of his many friends. It truly takes a village to raise a child and everyone has been instrumental in helping him to develop to a point where he can now represent the Lord as a missionary.
He spoke about his mission, his testimony of the Gospel, the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the latter days and the coming forth of the Book of Mormon as part of the Restoration. Over the years Chase has developed a love for the teachings of Christ and the Prophets. He knows how important it is to follow the counsel that we have been given from them.
After the Sacrament meeting ended where he spoke there was an open house for everyone who wished to visit with Chase. It was a great outpouring of love and support. He will truly miss everyone for the next two years as he will have very limited contact.
Chase will be set apart as a full time missionary tomorrow night and then will travel with the family to Utah to be dropped off at the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah. He feels that it is truly a privilege to represent the Lord as a witness for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He looks forward to working with, serving and learning from the people of Honduras.
