Good letter this past week and looking forward to a new one this week.
Hey Mom,
I am doing okay this week as far as health wise. Sounds like you guys are busy as always during the summer time. Well I figured you would be released as from Relief Society and have another calling again. You will do good with the Young Women. Yeah I remember Jaclyn Hardy, she was in my seminary class my senior year. She is soo funny! Thats sweet that Ashley´s cousin is coming. I will see if i get to see him or not at changes. I am pretty sure I am staying the same area and receiving a new companion. But no one ever knows what happens with changes. Yes that would be awesome for another package and yes those cookies would be amazing!! Well sounds like your week was awesome. How is Emily and Kyle doing with Navy? How is the weather in AZ?
Well this week we have been a little wet and sick. This past week has been storms in the afternoon and would rain forever. The streets here get soooo flooded. Especially in our area because we have dirt roads. We would walk through the rain and go teach people. We get sooo wet. This week Elder Thatcher got really sick with something and we had to stay in the house for a few hours. Also we did divisons with the ZL´s because we needed one of them to interview our investigators that got baptized on Saturday. We had two baptisms which was really awesome. Oh yeah! When I was on divisions with Elder Wedemeyer (ZL), Elder Thatcher forgot to give me the keys to our house and it was pouring rain too. So we had to walk over to the other Elders house to sleep there lol. We were soo wet. It was a fun experience though. Our baptisms were this one old guy that we received a reference from and an old lady who´s daughter and son are members. They are so awesome though.
The teaching for this week was good we have two families that we are teaching that are super positive. We hope to baptize them next month!! But Elder Thatcher will not be here for the baptisms because he will be home with his family. This is his last full week of doing the Lords work. I am sad but glad that he is progressing with his life. He is such an awesome missionary and loves the work. I am excited for my next companion hopefully he is Latin and I can learn spanish really well. We will see what happens. Also we hope to have baptisms this next Saturday but we are not sure yet. Anyways it was a good week. We have just been wet and sick.
A really cool experience we had with one of our converts was this one man that was baptized with his wife. His name is Saturnino and we were visiting him and checking up on their prayers and reading. Then he was talking to us and started to cry because he was sooo grateful for us coming to his house and helping him change his life. We could feel the spirit and see the change in his life. From that experience it made us feel really good that we were part of that. He gave his thanks and is sad that Elder Thatcher is leaving also. But that experience was so awesome. The Lord truly has a work out here and wants us to bring his children back. I am so grateful for this work. I hope to have and enjoy my two years here. Anyways God Speed. Have a fantastic week.
Con Amor,
Elder Hall
