Week 66 Choluteca

This weeks update.  He stayed put in Choluteca at least for another month.  We are amazed at his willingness to accept that we have little control in our lives and must move forward in faith.  We will be led in the right paths if we are humble and understand our weakness.  He sees the miracles that can occur when he recognizes this fact.  He is doing well and learning life lessons that he can draw from forever.

I will post the picture of the two families he speaks about in his letter.

Hey Family!!!
Well mom what happen to those pics of Taylor or of Powell?? I received that package from Taylor and it was absolutely awesome!! It had hot wheels cars, candy, and chocolate. She is super awesome!! Are you excited for the cruise!!?? Well I will be waiting for the package. Well this week was absolutely amazing!!

First we had interviews with President Hernandez and I love my mission president. He helped me with some questions that I had. I asked on what I needed to work on personally because I have almost 6 months left in mission and I have been thinking on what I need to do better. He just told to pray and fast about it and so I did. This past weekend I fasted on a Saturday to a Sunday. Well Saturday turned into a crazy day for my zone. As a zone we had set up 11 baptisms with 2 families. Pretty big day right?? We had a baptism too of a 12 year old. We had our DL interview him and as we were waiting for the interview to be done, we received a call from an Elder that was really sick and went to the hospital. The exams on him said that he might have a kidney stone. So my companion had to go to Tegus with this Elder to get him checked out to see if he needs surgery or not. We did divisions and I am with Elder Uto for now. Well this was all happening on Saturday and we kind of had a big baptism with some other Elders and we had 8 altogether. Also a family needed to be married. So we went to the church to get things ready and everyone here in Honduras starts late. The lawyer for the wedding didnt show up until two hours after the schedule time we had him!! We had people running everywhere and our baptism, Yelson the 12 year old, was wanting to go home and not be baptized and so I was taking care of him and it was just chaos!!! Eventually everything worked out with the family marriage and all of the baptisms. We had a good weekend 11 baptisms with 2 families!! I dont take the credit because its really the zone that works super hard to get baptisms. I was pondering that Saturday night after everything and it was an absolute miracle that everything turned out well. I stressed myself out a ton that day because I wanted to make sure everything was in control. Then I really pondered about how it happened and I know that I didnt do all of those baptisms, it was completely up to the Lord for them to happen. I was putting more trust in myself than the Lord. The Lord showed me how I need to trust in him completely because its the will of God thats makes this work happen. We or I am an instrument in his hands and He has the power to make miracles happen. It was a miracle that everything worked out in its way it did. Now I know that I need to put more trust in the Lord than I need to put trust in myself. Its amazing how we can apply scriptures to ourselves in this world. For my case, I thought about Ether 12:27. I love this work with all of my heart, mind, and soul!! I dont want to come back because I know that I wont be set apart from the world like this to change lives! I read an article that my mission presidents wife encouraged me to ready about the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Its in the Liahona abril 2012. David A. Bednar gives a very prophetic message to us on how we can use the Atonement of Jesus Christ in our lives!! I encourage you to read it. Its changing my life for sure haha. Well I had a fantastic week and I couldnt ask for a better one too. Its a marvelous work and a wonder. Thanks for the help and love. You are all amazing in my eyes. I love you all and pray for you all everyday. Until next week!!!

Con Amor,
Elder Hall
